Magic Matariki Work

Kia ora bloggers,
Did you know that it is nearly the Maori new year? It's called Matariki. Me and my friends Aliah and Emily have started this slide to give people some information on Matariki. Matariki is the seven sisters that form a cluster of stars at night. Their names are Waiti,Waita, Waipuna - a - a rangi, Tupu - a - nuku, Tupu - a - rangi, Ururangi & Matariki. Did you know that the Maori new year is called Matariki because Matariki is the oldest sister in the star cluster? I didn't until I found out on google.

My Volume Work.

Bonjour bloggers,
This week Mr.Bell's math group has been working on volume.
Volume is when you times height by width by depth. These past few weeks we have been learning our area and perimeter of odd shapes. My favorite so far is volume. We have only been finding the volume of easy shapes like rectangles and cubes. Have you learned how to do volume yet?

Interesting Information report about Amelia Earhart.

Kia ora bloggers,
This term korimako has been working on information reports. The first information report I did was the WW1 Christmas truce. When we finished that we were allowed to do another information report. I choose Amelia Earhart because she was a person I was interested in. Amelia is a woman who flew planes and wanted to travel around the world. Amelia has heaps of achievements. Amelia first got into planes when she was only 10. Can you remember how Amelia died?
