Did you have a good holiday? This week Mrs. Kerin's literacy group has been learning about the world wars/ Anzac day. We got a set of activities to complete.  My favorite activity was world history or ANZAC Ted. Me and my friend Sophie helped each other. What interesting fact shocked you the most? I think mine would be the battlefield boom heard in England from France. I used Wikipedia and google for my research.

This term we have been learning how to be the best version of ourselves. We learned about this until week nine. In week nine the teachers told us to make a presentation about how to be the best version of our self. We had 2 weeks to complete this and I finished at the end of last week. Maths game

This week Mr. Bells' math group has worked on making a game on probability. I really enjoyed making a game and thinking of the questions. I haven't finished all of the questions yet. We are making a game on probability because this term Korimako has been focusing on probability. We got the choice of doing our game on a device or on paper, I did devise because it is faster and easier. Can you please play the game and tell me what to do next. What was your favorite question to answer?

How to write a professional email.

Today we had a lesson on how to write a proper email. We first watched 2 videos and then looked at some slides to see how to write a proper email. Then we got told our task. It was to send an email to our homebase teacher and explain why or why not we think animals should be allowed on public transport. I definitely think animals should be allowed on public transport. We started on Gmail and once our teacher-approved we took a screenshot and put it on google draw. We then put what we needed in a professional email with arrows. Do you think pets should be allowed on public transport?

My Littering brainstorm.

This week Mrs Kerin's literacy has learned about sustainability. Me Annebelle, Joy, Amy, Sophie and Maiyde are creating a plan to stop our school from littering. Yesterday me and Amy came up with an idea to write a script and show Kiwi and Pukeko about littering. I learned lots of facts! Did you know that we breathe plastic, we eat plastic and we drink plastic? Also, styrofoam takes 1,000 years to break down! And normal plastic takes 400 years, that's 4 generations! Do you have any ideas we could add?
