Cool colouring.

Hola bloggers!
So a few days ago I signed up for the summer learning journey. This is the first task we can complete. It is a NASA drawing that we color in on our Chromebook. I found this really easy but fun to pick all the colors. I hope we do some maths for tasks. If you come top 3 in your school you get a prize. Last year there were some pretty good prizes. Have you signed up for the summer learning journey?

Down here are some other colorings I did:)

Adios and Merry Christmas!🎄🎄

Super swimming

Kia Ora bloggers!
Last week and this week we have been doing swimming lessons at QEll. I have really enjoyed swimming in the pool especially on hot days! So this week is our last week of doing swimming 🙁 so we are doing really fun stuff. On Tuesday we did life jacket day on Wednesday we did boat day on Thursday we did first aid kit day and today (Friday) we are doing pajama day!

Wednesday was my favorite day! It was boat day. This picture is kind of what we went on. We got on the boat safely and then we learned a bit about how to be safe on a boat. Then one by one we did our backward plop on the water. I really enjoyed doing it. Then we did a circle and tilted our heads back. This is for if you are ever in trouble and people can see you. We also did lots of other cool stuff.

Anyways I have a few questions for you. Have you ever done school swimming lessons? Have you gone on an inflatable boat? Have you worn a life jacket before?

Anyways Adios bloggers. Merry Christmas!🎄

Wonderful Wonder Book Study

Kia Ora bloggers! It's been a while.
This term in reading we are doing novel studies. I picked Wonder as the book I would like to read. I chose it because I thought it would be great to learn about. Do you know Wonder is based on a real person? I have completed a few activities but the word meaning activity is a work in progress. I really enjoyed doing the book cover activity! Can you think of a few names that could sit at the Summer table?

Exciting Explanation Writing.

Kia Ora bloggers:)
This term we are learning about explanation writing so I picked this topic to write about. I choose how a hurricane works because it is interesting and fun to learn facts about it. Did you know that there have been 7 hurricanes this year so far? A piece of explanation is when you explain how something works. Can you remember what wind speed can pick up too?

Magnificent Multiplying Math Work.

Kia Ora bloggers!
On Wednesday I worked on this slide for maths.  Do you know how to multiply fractions? It's very simple times the top two numbers together. The answer would go where the numerator would be. Then you times the bottom numbers together and put the answer on the denominator and that would be your answer. I love doing fractions, especially multiplying fractions.

Exciting Experiment.

Kia ora bloggers! I still can't believe we're in lockdown. Anyways this week the teachers in Korimako decided to start our inquiry. Our inquiry topic is about food, and how long does it take to root or grow mold. The experiment we are doing at this moment is what liquid keeps an apple nice and fresh. Is it vinegar, lemon juice, salt and water, or an apple by its self?  I thought the vinegar would keep it nice and fresh but I checked this morning and now I think it would be the lemon juice. What liquid do you think will help the apple keep its freshness?

Interesting Information report about Amelia Earhart.

Kia ora bloggers,
This term korimako has been working on information reports. The first information report I did was the WW1 Christmas truce. When we finished that we were allowed to do another information report. I choose Amelia Earhart because she was a person I was interested in. Amelia is a woman who flew planes and wanted to travel around the world. Amelia has heaps of achievements. Amelia first got into planes when she was only 10. Can you remember how Amelia died?
